OANDA Europe, a leading multi-asset trading services provider, announced on Thursday that Chantelle Johnson had ended her tenure as Global Chief Marketing Officer at the firm. According to the UK Companies House’s fillings, the termination was made effective starting today.
Johnson had several roles within the firm during her seven-year career, first starting as Digital Director in OANDA in 2014. Prior to that role, she served as Global Head of Marketing in the British branch of Alpari (Alpari UK Ltd) for over three years, according to her LinkedIn profile.
After working as Digital Director, Johnson was appointed as Director of Marketing for EMEA and Americas regions, holding in parallel the role of Chief Marketing Officer for both regions. Early this year, she was promoted to take the lead of the global marketing team at OANDA. There is no official statement from the multi-asset trading services provider as of press time nor words from Johnson addressing her departure.
In June, OANDA made the headlines with another executive move, as it announced that Kurt vom Scheidt became its new Chief Operating Officer. Vom Scheidt has vast experience within the financial industry, having worked for several brokerages across the globe. He arrived at OANDA after having served as Executive Director and Global Head of Foreign Exchange in Saxo Bank. Prior to his work at Saxo Bank, the new COO of OANDA served as FX Product Manager at GFI Group, a firm based in London. Moreover, vom Scheidt was a Commerzbank AG employee, specifically holding executive roles as Global Head of Markets Business Management, Global Head of FX Business Management and Global Account Manager in FX Technology for around four years.
Furthermore, in the same month, the multi-asset trading services provider promoted its long-time employee John Murphy as the company’s Head of the United Kingdom.
