Job Description

We are looking for passionate and high skilled senior level Regulatory Compliance Manager, to join our Regulatory Compliance team in our headquarters in Athens, Greece.

The position reports directly to the Head of Regulatory Compliance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Mapping and monitoring of the applicable regulatory framework & requirements in direct communication with the local regulators & external advisers across Europe;
  • Development of regulatory compliance roadmaps based on legal and regulatory requirements and coordination of all involved functions to ensure compliance;
  • Drafting and ongoing reviewing of policies & procedures as well as monitoring of its implementation across the organization;
  • Designing & implementing compliance audits and compliance training programs;
  • Assist the Head of Regulatory Compliance in developing and maintaining a formal compliance risk-and-control program and ensure that the controls put in place to mitigate specific risks are monitored, and reported as appropriate;
  • Assist the Head of Compliance in the development & implementation of the annual compliance plan and the preparation of reports;
  • Full responsibility for the day to day operational regulatory compliance matters applicable in the assigned geographical territories;
  • Prepare and co-ordinate submission of reports & responses to the local regulatory authorities;
  • Organize and coordinate the Compliance department files, cases and issues; keep up with deadlines; and document actions;
  • Work cooperatively with external & Internal auditors;


To be considered you should have:

  • University degree in Law, Banking, Business Administration or in related fields (Master degree in European Banking /Payments regulation, Risk Management or in related fields is considered a strong plus);
  • Demonstrable experience in regulatory compliance (at least 6 years) in banking or payments sector. Previous experience in coordinating European regulatory compliance projects or professional experience at a "Big 4" firm is considered a plus;
  • Deep knowledge of financial services regulations, and, in particular, Banking Supervision and Payments' regulations (eg. PSD2, regulation relating to Internal Control System);
  • The ability to build relationships with co-workers, external advisers and local supervising authorities across Europe;
  • The ability to work well both independently and in a team environment, including senior management, in an intense, fast-paced environment and successfully manage multiple projects within deadlines;
  • Excellent communication skills in English, written and verbal;
  • Excellent organizational, presentation and project management skills;
  • Any professional certification (i.e. ICA, CIA, CAMS etc) is considered a strong plus;
