With +240 Fourthliners today, we are on a mission to fight financial crime! Since the launch of our KYC solutions in January 2018, we have run millions and millions of verifications. In the past twelve months, we have signed contracts with Europe’s most respected (neo)banks, online brokers, and fintechs.

Your Mission at Fourthline

As Engineering Manager Platform, you will navigate the Platform team in a challenging and regulated environment. It is not the first time that you encounter such a challenge, and you enjoy it!

You will lead our Platform Engineers towards the business goals, present scalable and analytical solutions to the Management Team, implement long-term automated plans.

You have the architectural perspective and experience to support your team with their daily challenges and you have an eye over security standards in a compliant organization.

Your goal? To develop a positive and collaborative work culture that empowers the team to perform at best and to bring a strong point of view that inspires our Platform Engineers.

Main Responsibilities

We have many challenges for you within Fourthline, but know that you will:

• Coach and guide the Platform team of 5-10 people with the idea to grow it even further
• Positively impact the scaling of our architecture and ongoing development of the team
• Oversee the distributed systems for observability
• Take accountability of cost control, reports, building business cases
• Have a 50/50 approach. Half of the time you will work with your team to scale our product and the other half you will be the bridge & filter between your team and Tech Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• +3 years of experience as Platform Architect (AWS) and at least 2 years of experience in leading Agile development teams
• Previous experience in a highly regulated environment is a preference
• You are very familiar with concepts like CI/CD, automated testing, release management, performance monitoring
• You are a team-player with a lot of positive energy and a constructive, proactive attitude
• You are able to prioritize and plan effectively and bring a demonstrated ability to work well under pressure
• You inspire and motivate others by maintaining a clear and structured communication with the different stakeholders
• You possess excellent English skills both oral and written
• Experience working in a high-growth, high-paced environment is nice to have
• Experience in hiring, team line-up and onboarding/training strategies is a plus
