Your role in the team
You will be part of the KYC team where your primary activity will be reviewing exceptions for new customer accounts, evaluates all type of retail, complex Corporate and Institutional accounts and analyse new customer processes and policies. Communicate effectively and efficiently with relevant internal and external parties to complete the KYC review process. This role offers good learning in Anti-money laundering (AML) processes and procedures and also opportunities to identify risk and provide supports in fixing the risks identified, problem solving skills, develop in other areas of the wider operations team and to build strong relationships with sales, compliance and other operational departments.
What You’ll Do
Bring your process knowledge in identifying exceptions in all types of retail and institutional account opening processes.
Utilize end-to-end knowledge about Corporate and Institutional/IB clients, swiftly identify red flags and undertake a comprehensive risk assessment of prospect clients.
Carry out both simple and complex onboarding of institutional clients.
Act as a SPOC for any inquiries from different stakeholders.
Provide training to new joiners and act as a buddy until they are up in the learning curve.
Assist in providing process trainings to different stakeholders.
Stay up to date with the latest regulatory, policy and procedural requirements, and take ownership of relevant procedural updates.
Being proactive in creating incidents and escalating system/process issues while keeping the management informed.
Adhere to agreed targets, KPIs, SLAs, productivity and quality standards consistently.
Perform quality check analysis on time and provide feedback.
Work closely with internal/external audit teams when necessary.
Identify potential risks and process gaps.
Multi-task and meet deadlines against a high-volume work schedule.
Work with Subject Matter Experts in projects and collaborate with the wider team to achieve desired results in projects.

What You’ll Need For This Role
Key Qualification Requirements:
3-4 years of experience performing AML/KYC activities in the financial services industry
Deep understanding of the end to end KYC and client on-boarding processes, across all entity types
Strong Risk awareness (incl. Operational, Compliance, Business and Reputational)
Problem solving and analytical mindset
Familiarity with AML/KYC regulations and industry guidelines
Understanding of sourcing information from various data sources
Excellent written and oral communication skills, fluent in English
Great attention to details
Good understanding of MsExcel and ability to design and understand operational reporting
Ability to be highly flexible and react swiftly to changing priorities and urgent situations
