Where are you?
The Enterprise Architect is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the entire IT architecture landscape of the company. This role involves leading a team of architects to ensure that all technological solutions align with the strategic vision and objectives of the company; will create and maintain the enterprise architecture repository, shape the architecture practice, and collaborate closely with Tim Van der Wee (CTO/CIO) to drive innovation and technology strategy.
What you’ll be doing
Leadership and Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of architects spanning various domains (e.g., application, infrastructure, security) to ensure cohesive and comprehensive architectural strategies.
Architecture Practice Development: Shape and advance the architecture practice within the organization, establishing best practices, standards, and methodologies.
Enterprise Architecture Repository: Create, maintain, and continuously improve the enterprise architecture repository, ensuring it accurately reflects the current and future state of the IT landscape.
Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the CTO to align architectural initiatives with the company’s strategic goals, ensuring that technology solutions support business objectives.
Innovation and Technology Strategy: Drive innovation by identifying emerging technologies and trends, evaluating their potential impact, and integrating them into the company's architecture where appropriate.
IT Governance and Policy Development: Establish and enforce IT governance frameworks and policies. Monitor adherence to architectural principles, guidelines, and standards across all IT projects.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders across the organization to understand business needs, gather requirements, and provide architectural guidance and oversight.
Documentation and Communication: Maintain thorough documentation of architectural decisions, roadmaps, and standards.

Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of various architectural domains, including application, infrastructure, security, data, and integration.

Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in mentoring and developing architectural talent.

Innovation Mindset: Passion for innovation and staying updated on the latest technology trends and advancements.
Education and Certifications
Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Professional Certifications: Relevant certifications such as TOGAF, Zachman are highly desirable.
Soft Skills
Strategic and Tactical Balance: Ability to balance strategic goals with immediate needs, planning for the future while addressing current challenges.
Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Adept at solving complex problems with innovative solutions, adaptable to changing technologies and business environments.
Language Skills: Professional proficiency in English is required. Dutch and/or French language skills are a huge plus.
