As we continue shaping the future of payments, we are looking for an experienced and creative Brand & Communications Director to join our growing team.

As the Brand & Communications Director you will lead the development and execution of our brand strategy and communications initiatives. This leadership role will be responsible for shaping the company’s brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging, and building a strong, engaging presence across all channels. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with deep expertise in brand building, PR, and internal and external communications. You will work closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to create a unified brand narrative that resonates with key audiences.

What you’ll do:

  • Brand Strategy & Development
    • Define and develop the overall brand strategy to ensure a compelling, consistent identity in the market
    • Lead the creation and implementation of brand guidelines and ensure brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints
    • Conduct market research to inform brand positioning, audience segmentation, and key messaging
  • Communications & PR
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that includes media relations, PR campaigns, and thought leadership initiatives
    • Build and manage relationships with key media outlets, influencers, and industry leaders to increase brand visibility
    • Oversee the creation of press releases, media kits, and other communications materials to effectively tell our brand story
  • Internal & External Messaging
    • Ensure consistent and aligned messaging for both internal and external audiences
    • Collaborate with HR and leadership to drive effective internal communications and strengthen company culture
    • Support executives with speechwriting, media training, and strategic communication advice
  • Digital & Social Media Strategy
    • Lead the digital communications strategy, including social media, content marketing, and web presence
    • Manage the brand's social media presence, ensuring that messaging is on-brand and aligned with broader communications efforts
    • Monitor digital engagement and sentiment, using data to inform and adjust strategy as needed
  • Campaigns & Storytelling
    • Oversee brand and communication campaigns that elevate our brand story and resonate with target audiences
    • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to align branding efforts with product launches, campaigns, and business objectives
    • Lead creative direction for all brand content, ensuring a cohesive and engaging narrative across all platforms
  • Crisis Communications & Reputation Management
    • Develop and implement crisis communication strategies to protect and maintain the company's reputation
    • Act as a spokesperson when needed, managing sensitive issues and ensuring timely, accurate communications
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the brand and communications team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and high performance
    • Manage agency relationships and external partners to ensure that all communications efforts are executed effectively and on budget
    • ⁠Set clear KPIs and measure the success of brand and communication initiatives
What you bring:

  • 10-15+ years of proven experience in a senior brand and communications role, with a strong track record in developing and executing brand strategies
  • Extensive experience in PR, media relations, and digital communications, with a solid understanding of social media trends and content creatio
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring high-performing teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and articulate complex ideas
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align brand and communication initiatives with broader business objectives
  • Experience managing crisis communications and protecting brand reputation in challenging situations
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners
  • Experience working in a fast-paced tech or digital environment
  • Knowledge of branding in a global or multi-market context
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools for targeted communications
  • ⁠MBA or advanced degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • Fluent in English
