Senior Business Analyst

Job Overview

ICMarkets is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in translating business needs into technical solutions, working closely with Product Owners and Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery and business transformation initiatives. Your insights will drive process improvements that align with our strategic goals in the financial services industry, including conducting thorough business research to inform decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Owners, Project Managers, and stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
• Conduct comprehensive business research to identify market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs in the trading and fintech sector
• Analyze business processes, identify gaps, and recommend data-driven solutions for improvement.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to understand requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications.
• Develop business process models, workflows, and use cases to ensure clarity of requirements.
• Work with IT and development teams to ensure that system designs meet business objectives.
• Perform data analysis to support decision-making and evaluate project performance.
• Assist in project planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Support UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by ensuring that the final deliverables meet business requirements.
• Provide post-implementation support to users, optimizing solutions as needed.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Business Analyst or similar role in the financial services industry, preferably within a trading or brokerage environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with data modeling, business process modeling, and project management methodologies.
• Proficient in requirements gathering, documentation, and translating technical details into business language.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
• Experience working with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar project management platforms.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with Product Owners, Project Managers, and stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of financial markets and trading platforms, particularly in CFDs, Forex, and cryptocurrencies.
• Experience with BI tools, SQL, and data visualization tools.
• Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
