Senior Test Engineer

About the role

We are looking to hire a skilled Senior Test Engineer, to join our Core Banking Services team in Copenhagen, reporting to Engineering Team Lead, Tetiana Krylova.

In this role you will contribute to optimizing the way we do payments and re-thinking our core banking functionality. Especially around account balance calculation and available funds management, where the new system would become the primary source of truth for both clients as well as internal consumers.

What you will be doing

• ​​Take ownership of test related activities in the team throughout full SDLC
• Identifying test strategy and approach based on business input, product roadmap and technical solution design
• Ensuring the right technical setup, tools and test automation coverage where necessary for both functional and non-functional tests
• Executing the most critical tests both in exploratory manner as well as in a preparation for releases towards critical milestones
• Discovered bugs and issues investigation, reporting and communication
• Be a member of a cross-functional product development team and collaborate closely with Technical Test team

What we are looking for

To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to have a demonstrated capability from an applicable role with minimum 5 years of full-time hands-on experience as Test Engineer, Test Automation Engineer, SDET or similar. An advantage would be prior experience working with financial services, highly available and performant systems, planning and executing non-functional tests.

You have worked before in a cross-functional team or together with developers and analysts. You are comfortable interacting with technical setup through REST APIs, SQL databases, MQs. You have test automation experience (using C# is a plus). A big advantage would be prior experience with planning, preparing and execution of performance, load, stress and high-availability tests.

As a person you are pro-active, responsible and result oriented. You have strong analytical skills and a sense of ownership when it comes to delivering the right solutions for business. We furthermore expect you to be a reliable team player that cooperates well at all levels of an organization.

As Banking Circle is an international company it´s a requirement, that you are fluent in English.
