IG Bank is seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior Legal and Compliance Officer or Senior Compliance Officer for a temporary mission of 9 months, starting from February 2025, to cover maternity leave. What You’ll Do
Compliance Function:
Financial Crime and Regulatory Compliance: Advise on AML, sanctions, fraud prevention, conflict of interest, and market abuse.
Deputy MLRO: Support AML investigations, oversee compliance, and report to authorities.
Account Onboarding: Advise on high-risk and PEP account reviews to ensure AML/KYC compliance.
Transaction Monitoring: Monitor daily and high-risk transactions with regular compliance controls.
Client Complaints: Address and resolve compliance-related client issues.
Product Development: Provide compliance input for new products and projects.
Audits: Prepare and support internal and external audits.
Compliance Reporting: Produce monthly and quarterly compliance reports
Legal And Company Secretary Functions
(For candidates with a legal background and experience only)
Provide daily legal support to various departments within the Bank.
Draft and review all legal agreements.
Monitor regulatory developments and support compliance efforts.
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual legal reporting.
Assist in preparing for the Bank’s Board of Directors and Audit Committee meetings.
Manage the Bank's Commercial Register and the signature list.
Ensure adherence to the Policy governance policy.

What You’ll Need For This Role
Experience: About 5-7 years in a legal and compliance role within Swiss financial markets, ideally within a bank.
Education: University degree is required. University degree in law is required for Senior Legal and Compliance officer position; a compliance qualification such as CAS in Compliance Management/ Financial Services is an asset.
Skills: Strong understanding of Swiss Banking regulations; effective communication skills with the ability to challenge processes when necessary; independent, detail-oriented, and ethical.
Languages: Fluency in English required; knowledge of French, German, or Italian is advantageous.
