Team Overview

Channel Operations will be a new team here at Payability. We are seeking to hire a Channel Operations Manager to help stand up this function and assist the Head of Operations in building out the team as we continue to scale. Payability's goal is to be the multi-channel finance solution for multi-channel eCommerce sellers. That means we need to support and integrate with all of the top selling platforms and marketplaces. Our Business Development team identifies and partners with the companies that power these platforms, and the Channel Operations team will be responsible for launching and optimizing those new channels. This team will help identify opportunities, scope out the necessary development and product work for integration and work with all internal teams to ensure that new channels are optimized across the entire customer journey (from onboarding to underwriting, sales, customer experience and reporting). This role is the first member of a new team, which is an exciting opportunity to take ownership over processes that impact teams across the company. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is excited about wearing multiple hats and has a keen ability to turn chaos into order.

Position Overview

As Channel Operations Manager you will report to the Head of Operations. This role will be the driving force of operationalizing, and ensuring success of, the expansion into new channels. From getting buy-in from key stakeholders to developing streamlined implementation processes, the person in this role will develop and own the operations to support channel expansion.

Responsibilities
  • Build and own operational processes and checklists to implement structure for new channels, such as marketplaces, vendors, partners
  • Define business requirements and operations processes to execute strategic projects
  • Establish and report on measures of success for new channels
  • Set up scalable and reliable ways to detect issues before they become risks
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop processes, project plans and ensure they are being followed through, while ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned
  • Define and own the customer experience for new channels, in addition to conducting customer research and customer explores
  • Act as point person and train internal teams (such as Client Services and Sales) on new channels and how to support them
  • Work with our Business Development team to form revenue and performance projections for each channel, and then monitor and optimize those channels to ensure maximum performance

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in business, economics or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in channel sales operations, or a related field
  • 1+ years of project management and process optimization within an operations environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge in systems integration and management
  • This team will be growing, so an eye for talent and a strong network is a plus
