About the Job:

Many financial services companies are at a crossroads, innovate or become obsolete. That's where we come in! As a UX/UI Designer, you'll use your strong visual and interaction design skills to create and implement tools and online experiences for our financial services customers in banking, capital markets and wealth. We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for their craft to help us generate captivating solutions for our clients.

 

What You’ll Get to Do:   

  • Collaborate with small, agile, multidisciplinary teams on client projects to create compelling, intuitive, and innovative user-centered experiences across both internal and external systems such as loan application systems, online retail banking offerings, etc.
  • Create user flows and wireframes, design mockups, and prototype experiences
  • Support client workshops, during which your team will seek input from the client concerning user experience concepts, and clarify experiential requirements
  • Assist on the delivery of creative digital concepts, information architecture and prototypes for digital projects (Internal presentations, Use Cases, User Flows, Journey Maps, Sitemaps, Wireframes, Pattern Libraries, etc.)
  • Begin to take ownership of product user experience, designing interactions, interfaces and animations
  • Passionately advocate end user-centered usability views and work cross-functionally with the Product and Customer Success teams to solve problems for our customers
  • Conduct user research, identify and sketch out key scenarios
  • Understand and contribute to use-cases and user stories for various workflows
  • Be involved in usability testing and script writing
  • Communicate design intent to internal and external teams and clearly represent the design work
  • There will be 50% travel

 

What You’ll Bring with You: 

  • 3+ years of web and/or mobile design experience producing engaging, usable, and effective design solutions using user-centric principles
  • Proficiency with wireframing, prototyping and visual design tools (e.g. Sketch, Figma, AdobeXD, Invision)
  • A portfolio of high-fidelity prototypes that you’ve created
  • Ability to complete compelling presentations that tell a story
  • Understanding of user experience, user research, interaction design, and design principles
  • Strong functional analysis skills: ability to understand how design connects to business initiatives
  • Meticulous attention to detail, passionate about the process and pixel perfect design
  • Fervent about analyzing and breaking down at other digital experiences
  • A genuine desire to hone your craft; obsessed with Behance, Dribble, Pinterest, etc.
  • Strong intellectual curiosity about new applications and features, design and UX trends
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability toward the products you create
  • Ability to find just as much value and interest in designing utility enterprise products and consumer facing products
  • Experience participating in planning and conducting user research activities
  • Understand and be familiar with research methodologies for both qualitative and quantitative including conducting interviews, focus groups, heuristics, contextual enquiries, etc.
  • General understanding of common software project management and Agile development practice
  • Knowledge of Financial Services, HTML, CSS and JavaScript is a big plus
