The Role

Design is an essential component of what makes our brand authentic. It communicates, drives awareness, creates stickiness and most of all it sets us apart from the competition. As Digital Designer, this is the perfect time to join Paymentsense. With a ton of investment in R&D, we’re on a mission to digitise payments for SMEs and alongside Product, Engineering and Sales you will help with that transformation. You will work closely with the Head of Design to continuously shape our brand across print, digital, above-the-line and direct response formats. Excellent conceptual and UI design will inform all touch-points of the business. This isn’t a traditional agency role and as such, you’ll need to have a strong character, a sense of conviction and the ability to inspire others with your ideas, ingenuity and endeavour.

What You Will Do…

  • Working as part of the design team you’ll support specific Marketing functions with their design requirements (UI, web layouts and design, brochures, reports, web assets, sales collateral and emails etc).
  • Work with Channel Marketing to build out best-in-class collateral to support our Sales teams and partners.
  • Work with Customer Marketing to create eye-catching creative to showcase our value proposition.
  • Manage the delivery of the briefs/concepts through to final deliverables, ensuring all artworks are delivered on time and to specification.
  • Present ideas and creative to stakeholders for sign off.
  • Help with the broader design team’s workload where appropriate.
  • Ensure a consistent visual identity, and look and feel across all deliverables in order to maximise the customer experience and brand identity.
  • Be a senior point of contact in the creative process, art direction and UI design strategy providing thoughtful and relevant input at every stage of the project.
  • Develop trust-based relationships with internal stakeholders, acting as an ambassador for the creative credibility and process of the creative team.
  • Produce sketches, storyboards and design layouts to communicate ideas to Channel Marketing and Customer Marketing.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding and ability to translate brands into digital executions and think ‘digital first’ when creating design experiences.

What You Will Bring...

  • At least 5+ years working in a mid-senior design position
  • Strong experience of Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
  • Highly experienced in Sketch app, Craft, Zeplin and Invision
  • Highly knowledgeable of best practice web design, user experience and user interface design, including a strong awareness of best practice accessibility standards.
  • An understanding and appreciation of web development, particularly responsive websites.
  • Drive the vision, product management of a design system of visual style, UI components, and other design concerns.
  • Have experience with grid systems
  • Adapt to change and respond positively to new challenges and deadlines.
  • An eye-catching portfolio that demonstrates a blend of commercial, digital and print design
  • A relentless focus on attention to detail and consistency.
  • An ability to take ownership and work in an autonomous manner
  • Highly imaginative hands on creative thinker who is curious about clients' products or services, with an excellent knowledge of UI design and an appreciation for branding.
  • Advanced experience of crafting large scale sites and designing for platform experience
  • Can manage the delivery of the approved concepts through to final deliverables, ensuring all artworks are delivered on time and to specification.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with key stakeholders
  • Stellar interpersonal skills and a self-starter who can inspire others.
  • A can-do attitude and a willingness to go the extra mile.
