cLabs is looking for a Blockchain Core Engineer to grow the Blockchain team, which is responsible for the Celo's blockchain node. This role involves working on a go-ethereum based node with transformations that make the Celo blockchain unique (such as the consensus engine). Our main challenges are scaling the network, improving its security and resiliency, and adding new features that can only be done at node level (such as paying for gas fees with an ERC20 token) to the Celo ecosystem . In the Blockchain team, we collaborate with other engineering teams within cLabs. This includes other platform teams such as the Primitives team (as we constantly access smart contracts as part of our operation), and user-facing teams such as the Developer Tools teams (as a big part of our job is to make end users' and contributors' lives easier). Our node is based on go-ethereum software with several transformations (like the consensus engine) that make the Celo blockchain unique.
