Genome is a fully digital financial platform that delivers everything users expect from traditional banking, faster, safer, and online. We are a Lithuania-based Electronic Money Institution licensed by the Bank of Lithuania, serving both businesses and individuals, primarily across the EU and beyond.

Our platform offers a wide range of services, including dedicated IBAN accounts, payment processing, currency exchange, and local and international transfers (SEPA and SWIFT). Clients can manage their finances through a smart, intuitive dashboard available on desktops and mobile apps for iOS and Android.

Genome is looking for a Head of Acquiring !

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Contribute to and execute the company’s acquiring strategy, supporting business growth and market expansion.
  • Coordinate the dedicated Acquiring team, driving strong performance and operational excellence.
  • Develop and manage relationships with acquiring banks, PSPs, card schemes, and other key industry partners.
  • Represent the company in commercial negotiations and industry forums.

Partnership & Relationship Management

  • Build and expand acquiring partnerships to improve market coverage, approval rates, and cost efficiency.
  • Lead commercial negotiations and contract discussions with key partners.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory developments to identify new opportunities.

Product & Payments

  • Own the acquiring product roadmap and ensure alignment with business and customer needs.
  • Drive improvements across merchant onboarding, transaction processing, settlements, reconciliation, reporting, and dispute management.
  • Work closely with Product, Technology, Risk, and Compliance to deliver scalable and effective payment solutions.
  • Ensure acquiring products and processes comply with applicable regulatory, card scheme, and security requirements.

Performance & Operational Excellence

  • Oversee the performance of acquiring operations and payment flows.
  • Define and monitor KPIs covering transaction volumes, approval rates, chargebacks, fraud, settlements, and profitability.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve performance, efficiency, scalability, and resilience.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field;
  • 3+ years of experience in acquiring, merchant services, or payments, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role;
  • Proven experience managing acquiring partnerships and developing merchant/payment solutions.
  • Deep understanding of card schemes, payment processing, acquiring flows, risk, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong commercial and business development skills, with experience negotiating partnerships and contracts.
  • Experience with payment product management and delivering payment solutions.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical mindset and experience using data and BI tools to drive business decisions.
  • Strong English communication skills, additional languages are a plus.

Compensation

Salary range: € 5000 - €6600 gross monthly*

  • Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and previous experience
